Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms govern use of the Specicon website and platform. By using them, or by signing an order form that references them, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself or your organization.

2. The service

Specicon provides decision infrastructure — engines that resolve identity, match, rank and explain — delivered via API, SDK and embeddable surfaces. Tier, engagement model and service levels are set in your order form.

3. Accounts and access

You are responsible for your credentials, API keys and the people you authorize. Role-based permissions you configure determine who can see, tune or approve decision logic.

4. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no unlawful processing, no attempts to re-identify pseudonymous data, no reverse engineering, and no use of decisions to discriminate against protected groups.

5. API usage

API access is subject to the rate limits and quotas in your plan. We may throttle abusive traffic to protect the platform for all customers.

6. Customer data

You keep ownership of the data you send us and the decisions computed from it. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy and your data processing agreement.

7. Intellectual property

Specicon owns the platform, the engines and the User Barcode™ technology. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them for your business during your subscription.

8. Warranties and disclaimers

We warrant that the service will perform materially as described in your order form. Otherwise the service is provided "as is"; recommendations are decision support, and outcomes depend on your catalogue, data and market.

9. Limitation of liability

Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages. Each party's total liability is capped at the fees paid in the twelve months before the claim, except for breaches of confidentiality or data protection obligations.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate for material breach that isn't cured within thirty days of notice. On termination we return or delete your data per your configuration and applicable law.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes take effect at your next renewal, and we'll flag them on this page with an updated date.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana.
